Florence Wong

Research Assistant

Florence (Kwai Ching) Wong (she/her) is a PhD Candidate in Social Work at the University of Toronto, whose research explores how Chinese immigrant families navigate child mental health systems and help-seeking processes. Her work with young parents involved with child protection has deepened her understanding of the systemic and cultural barriers that shape families’ experiences within child welfare and healthcare systems. Florence’s clinical practice experiences and her research on immigrant family well-being and service equity inspire her commitment to creating systems of care that honour cultural diversity and promote the flourishing of all children and families.
